Copper and Brass Cores

COPPER/BRASS CORES

Active manufactures a variety of core styles. One of our more popular is our “Inline Canted” core style.

Applications that are subject to a lot of debris are candidates for what many refer to as a “cotton core” or “feed lot core” with inline tubes and non-louvered fins. Traditional inline cores with non-louvered fins allow debris to pass through the core more freely than the OE core. However, the heat transfer is compromised because the air passes through the core without pulling much heat from the tubes.

Active’s “Inline Canted” core allows debris to pass through the core more freely than the OE core and maximizes heat transfer by placing the tubes at just enough of an angle to allow the air to contact the entire face of each tube and remove heat from each tube.

Standard Inline Core

Air passes through freely to avoid clogging. Second, third, fourth rows of tubes are less efficient due to poor air-to-tube contact.
